Announcing our range of Subwoofers

Hi everyone, Sub woofers are very close. Part of the problem is that we have had trouble sourcing decent amplifiers. The first Class AB was fairly ordinary and noisy when the speaker level inputs were used. We sent it back. Originally we were going to produce an 8 inch and a 10 inch. However we have decided to issue two 10 inch subs. One will be in a sealed box called the 005 Zeno and will be about 15 litres, the other in a larger ported box.  This is one monster driver pushing these things, with an Xmax 11mm, 2kg magnet,...

New full range speaker

New full range speaker

Hi everyone, Quite a few announcements coming in the next couple of weeks. We have discontinued our 001 Cramers Paradox. I was never happy with how this played at volume. Of course volume is relatively speaking. It never played loud, but it was meant as a personal music speaker for your desk or small room. We are going to replace it with the 012 Personal Music Cube. It is smaller at 150 mm cubed. The treble is much better. It uses the SB Acoustics SB65WAC25-4. A tiny 2.5 inch full range driver. The kit includes MDF box, drivers, 4m wire, grille...

Upcoming products

HI all,   I thought I would share some of our planned products, and let people voice what they would like to see or to be prioritised. A ten inch subwoofer; A small personal speaker, smaller than our 001; A larger two way floor standing (with stand) speaker with a 7 inch woofer and a ring radiator tweeter.  This will be a bit of a flagship and audiophile quality, if all goes well; An array; An MTM based on our 002 Meno Paradox speaker, which would be more efficient and could be used as a centre speaker with our little 2 way.  Or 3...

What Should a Loudspeaker Sound Like

What should a speaker sound like? I have used quite a few technical terms here.  Unfortunately sound reproduction is very technical.  Because there are so many terms I have not provided links, but you should look up any where the meaning is not clear. A more interesting question might be: "what should a sound system or hi-fi sound like?' High fidelity reproduction essentially means high faithfulness (to the original).  Therefore if something is hi-fi it should be as similar to the original as possible, given the constraints.  Some constraints might be cost, size of the speakers, room acoustics of the listening room, the neighbours, because they might not like the 1812...
